Day 1 – Kampala-Murchison Falls National Park

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel early in the morning before hitting the road for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park. This park is located about 300 kilometres north of Kampala, passing through the famous Luwero triangle and has a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary and then has lunch at Kabalega dinners. We later proceed on entering the park through Kichombanyobo gate and visit the magnificent falls where you will enjoy and marvel at the mighty Nile, being forced into a seven meter crevice to thunder 45 meters below in a series of cascades that can be viewed at different points. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison safari lodge. Best Time to Visit December to February (Easier to spot animals) High Season June to September (Peak time for Uganda) Best Weather June and July (Less rain and lower temperatures)

Day 2 – Game drive – Boat cruise

After an early morning breakfast, we drive down to the bridge and cross the Nile to the northern sector of the park and start our game drive towards the Delta area, in search for wildlife that includes; the Rothschild Giraffe, elephant, Jackson’s Hart beast, Lions, Warthogs, Kobs, Jackals, Oribis, Waterbucks, Patus monkeys and Leopards among others. Here also a variety of Savannah woodland birds can be seen. We go back to the lodge, relax around, have lunch and later in the afternoon, at 02:00pm go for the boat cruise on the Nile, for game viewing at close quarters as they come to cool off on the shores of the mighty Nile. Here you get a chance of seeing many schools of Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffaloes, Elephants and a variety of water birds. We come back to the lodge after about 3 hours, for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Transfer To kibale National park

You will start your drive to western Uganda through the beautiful green scenery and the tea plantations. You will have a chance to interact with local people during the walk through the market after lunch. After lunch, you will have a one hour drive to Kibale forest where you will be able to spot some monkeys, birds and Baboons on your way and during the stop-over. Best Time to Visit December to February and June to July High Season June to September (Peak time for Uganda) Best Weather June to July and December to February (Least rain)

Day 4 – Chimpanzee trekking

Today you will have your breakfast at the lodge and prepare for your trip for Chimpanzee walk. Kibale forest National Park consists of around 13 primate species. While at the park, you will be able to see many types of monkeys like; the wonderful Red Columbus, Grey cheeked mangabey, Black and white Columbus monkey, L’hoest monkey and the amazing Chimpanzees. Here you will experience our cousins today for one hour and the trip takes 3-4 hours walk through the tropical rain forest with the experienced guide. After lunch you will visit Bigodi swamp for the walk to spot some monkeys and bird species and that takes you through grassland, small communities where the locals are very enthusiastic to shake hands with white people through coffee plantations and peoples gardens to see how they do daily work.

Day 5 – To queen Elizabeth national park

After breakfast, we drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, driving through the crater lakes region of Kabarole and do a mini game drive as we enter the park and check into the service of park view safari Lodge. We have lunch and relax around and later at 3:00 pm go for the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to view the wildlife from close quarters as they cool off along the shores of the Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. Come back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and over night. Best Time to Visit January to February and June to July (Dry seasons) High Season June to September (Peak time for Uganda) Best Weather June to July and January to February (Less rainfall)

Day 6 – Queen Elizabeth National Park

The day begins early as we go for our morning game drive, heading for Kasenyi plains, towards the Kobs mating grounds, in search for wildlife that may include the Bushbuck, Waterbuck, Elephants, Buffaloes, lions, Leopards and other wildlife in their natural habitat. The game drives normally take 3 -4 hrs before returning for breakfast. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. The Channel accommodates abundant wildlife, hundreds of birds that are sighted fishing in the channel and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – To Bwindi impenetrable national park

The day begins early as we start the game drive at 6:30am in the Kasenyi plains in search for wildlife which includes the Buffalos, Kobs, Warthogs, Elephants, Waterbucks, Lions, Hyenas, and on lucky days leopards among others. After the game drive that takes about 2 – 3 hours, we go back to the lodge for breakfast, check out and drive to Bwindi through Ishasha sector where tree climbing lions can be seen according to the luck of the day. We have lunch en-route (packed) and later check in to the service of silverback lodge for dinner and overnight. Best Time to Visit June to August and December to February High Season June to September (Gorilla permits are scarce) Best Weather June to July and December to February (Less rainfall)

Day 8 – Gorilla tracking

After breakfast, at about 7:45am, we walk down to the visitors’ centre for registration and briefing before starting the gorilla trekking. The exercise may be strenuous walking up steep hills sometimes under muddy conditions. This activity may take about 2 – 8 hours, experiencing the Gorilla World, and for conservation purposes when you get them, you spend one hour with them and the guide will advise you on how to behave while with these great apes. You later come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – Gorilla tracking

After an African breakfast you will go for a nature walk guided by local guides where will also have chance to visit the pygmies in their homes interact with them, and also be involved in dancing before you come back to the hotel lunch relax as you prepare your self for another long journey back to Kampala.

Day 10 – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Kampala

After breakfast we will drive back to Kampala, with stopovers/toilet breaks at Kabale and Mbarara, lunch en-route. We also have a stopover at the Equator for the water experiment and look at the craft shops. We later proceed on to Entebbe or Kampala and check into your place of accommodation.
