Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked by our professional tour guide/driver from your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe after which you embark on your journey to the famous Bwindi impenetrable National Park a journey that crosses the equator line. This Park is mostly famous for the rare mountain gorillas and the drive to the park is incredibly scenic, passing through various local villages and the lush green countryside & hills which characterize so much of south western Uganda. Once you are in the forest park, it is one of the richest ecosystems in Africa and the diversity of species is a feature of the park. It provides habitat for some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos and many endangered species. Floristically Bwindi is among the most diverse forests in East Africa, with more than 1,000 flowering plant species including 163 species of trees and 104 species of ferns.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
Today you go to track the rare mountain gorillas. After a briefing from your ranger guide at the UWA offices you will begin tracking the mountain gorillas through the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This can take a couple of hours or a whole day depending on the location of the apes. Keep an eye out for forest species such as buffaloes, elephants, black fronted duikers and bush bucks. NB: Do not forget to carry your packed lunches. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest and discover their gorgeous natural habitat and the many species, they share it with. You will track from one of the Gorilla groups that will be near your accommodation in Bwindi depending on availability. After a well-earned trip to the gorillas, you will retire to your accommodation for an overnight. You can rest your tired legs and restorative massage, offered from the gorilla experience!
Day 3: Drive back to Kampala / Entebbe
After breakfast, drive back to Kampala including the stopover for an-route lunch and the equator if you happen to have missed it on your first day of your trip. Your guide drops you back at your accommodation in Kampala or at Entebbe. Thank You for supporting, Henry Tours and Safaris safe journey back home hope to host you again.
